Best Beaches of North Goa

Every beach of Goa is unique in its own way. Although North Goa is known to be a party place, there are North Goa best beaches which are quiet and serene. If the tourists are not aware of the variety in beaches, they are surely going to miss something.

Here is a list of the best beaches of North Goa in decreasing order of preference:

Arambol : A lot of factors make Arambol the best beach of North Goa. The water is clean. There is not much raucous on the beach. A fresh water lake lies adjacent to the main beach, so that you can easily walk to that place. You will mostly find party people having fun near the fresh water lake. So, Armabol is a combination of quietness on one side and party on the other. Also, there is a famous Banyan tree where lies a stone bowl, commonly known as “Money Stone”. You can put money in it, or you can take out money from it.

Vagator : There are two Vagator beaches which are adjacent to each other: Little Vagator and Big Vagator. Big Vagator is the one where most of the tourists go for its dense plantation and clean sand. You can have a long walk from Big Vagator to the little one and explore its secluded, rocky area.  You will not get harassed by hawkers at Vagator. This place is a blend of rocks and sand which makes it one of the most beautiful landmarks of North Goa. Chapora Fort adds to the beauty of the Vagator region.

Candolim : Candolim is a combination of quietness of Vagator and loudness of Baga Beach. The water is clean, tourists are more as compared to Arambol and Vagator but the area is not over crowded. You will find hawkers roaming around at Candolim. People usually come here for water sports in the clean blue water of candolim.

Baga : It is one of the most famous beaches of Goa. If tourists haven’t pre-planned places to visit in Goa, they will end up here because someone or the other would recommend them Baga Beach. Clearly, it is very crowded, hawkers are everywhere, water is not clean; and that is why visiting Baga during the day time is not recommended. However, Baga serves you the best nightlife of Goa. The famous Tito’s Lane is full of amazing party palces like Mambo’s, Tito’s and Cocktails and Dreams. The street is ALIVE.

Anjuna : This is again the most-visited beach of North Goa. It is famous for its liveliness and awesome shacks where you get served delicious sea food. People come here for water sports as well, like parasailing, scuba diving and jet skiing. But most of all, tourists come here for Curlies. Curlies is an excellent party place. It is most happening on Thursdays. The party starts at 9:00 pm and goes on till 4:00 am.
